An Asian man was attacked with a stick in Prospect Park in Brooklyn over the weekend and is being investigated as a hate crime, police said Wednesday.
The New York Police Department's hate Crimes Task Force has released surveillance images of the suspect in Saturday afternoon's attack.
The 46-year-old victim was attacked in a park at 12.20pm when a man hurled anti-Asian slurs at him and hit him on the body with a stick.
The attacker was last seen fleeing the park on foot.
The victim received first aid at the scene.
