Asian woman accused of making anti-Asian comments in Brooklyn subway

An Asian woman was attacked last week on a subway car in Brooklyn by a suspect who made anti-Asian comments and spat on her. On the 24th, the police wanted the woman for vicious harassment, and the city police anti-hate crime team has also been involved in the investigation of the case.

According to the news released by the 78th Precinct of the municipal police and the 32nd Precinct of the subway on the 24th, the case occurred at about 2:10 p.m. on the 17th of this month, when a 30-year-old Asian woman stood on the northbound platform of the Bergen St subway station in Brooklyn, a woman approached her and had a verbal argument with the Asian woman.

When the subway pulled in, they both boarded the northbound train. As the train moved, the woman continued, making anti-Asian comments to the victim and spitting on her. The suspect then exited the vehicle at the Atlantic Avenue subway station and fled. The victim did not suffer any physical injuries, but sought a private medical evaluation after the incident.

The police released a photo of the female suspect on July 24 after investigating. The woman is described as having a dark complexion and was wearing a blue top and trousers with a black trench coat and a backpack with sky blue and white straps.
