An armed car grab in the ethnically Chinese borough of Brooklyn Heights on Sunday night involved two Asian men in a car. Shots were fired during a confrontation, but no one was hit. The 68th precinct of the city police is now looking for the robber.
According to police sources, the case occurred at about 9:50 p.m. on the 23rd, when two Asian men in their 40s were sitting in a black Toyota Camry on Bay Ridge Ave near Ninth Avenue. A man suddenly entered the car, sat in the back seat, and brandished a black gun.Then asked the driver to drive, and threatened that the driver must abide by its orders.
The vehicle traveled a few blocks before it stopped in front of the Learning Experience daycare center at 1012 Bay Ridge Ave. A physical altercation ensued between the gunman and the victims in the vehicle, during which time the gunman opened fire but the bullets did not hit anyone.Shortly after the gunfire caused a commotion, the two victims ran out of the car, while the gunman jumped behind the steering wheel and drove the stolen car east along Bay Ridge Boulevard.
