A man in a Flushing parking lot was robbed twice by armed robbers

A 51-year-old Asian man was robbed twice at gunpoint by the same man in a parking lot on 38th Avenue in Flushing. The police investigation concluded that the case was a pattern robbery. The New York City Police Department released an image of the suspect on Wednesday, calling on people with information to help police solve the case.

At about 9:54 p.m. on Feb. 23, a 51-year-old Asian man was walking into an elevator in the parking lot at 142-28 38th Avenue when an unidentified man approached, grabbed him, pointed a gun at the back of his head and demanded money, police said. The victim claimed to have no money, and the suspect grabbed a key from the victim. Another man was watching. The two suspects then fled the scene and the victim was not injured.

A few weeks later, the 51-year-old victim got into the elevator at 10:05 p.m. on March 14 and was robbed at gunpoint by the same unidentified person. The suspect grabbed the victim, pointed a gun at the back of his head, demanded money, punched the victim in the face and stole $5,500 from him. Another man was watching.

Police said the first suspect was described on surveillance as a man with a dark complexion and a heavy build, with short black hair and a beard. The second suspect is described as a man of medium build and medium complexion.
