On the S train from Central Station to Times Square on Saturday night (19th), three African-American men and women insulted a pair of Asian men and women with racial discrimination words, and then kicked the man on the head. Police released images of the three suspects Sunday as they investigate the case as a hate crime.
A black man and two black women approached a 42-year-old Asian man and his 41-year-old girlfriend on the short-distance S train that connects Grand Central Station to Times Square at around 8 p.m. Saturday, according to police sources. The three suspects asked them to give up their seats, and insulted the man as an "Asian pig" (Asian pig), then hit the man's head with a fist, causing the other party to suffer minor head injuries.
The three suspects fled after getting off the train at Times Square station. The male victim refused medical attention. Police later released images of the three suspects, and the Hate Crimes Department is investigating.
